Welcome to the Richmond Residential Services, Incorporated
website. Here you can find information about who we are, what
services we offer, and answers to common questions.
We provide persons with mental retardation and other
developmental disabilities dignity, respect, and individualized
supports which facilitate their full participation in the
community. RRSI is guided in its work by a voluntary Board of
Directors and a management team composed of the Executive
Director, Program Directors, Residential Supervisors and the
Fiscal Officer.
Historically, RRSI has offered programs and residential
opportunities for Richmond City residents functioning within the
range of profound to mild mental retardation. Building on that
background of quality service provision and placing the needs of
its clients above all else, RRSI strives to expand services in
accordance with the changing needs of its clients and with a
commitment to serving individuals currently without supports.
Program options include small group homes, clustered apartment programs,
supervised apartments, and a supported living program. These programs
provide individualized training and supports, supervision, a sense
of security and self-worth and fulfill a variety of personal needs in
the least restrictive and most normalizing settings possible.
